Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

This qualification introduces professionals from various industries into the world of assessment.  With one mandatory unit, you will gain a sound understanding of:

  • the principles and requirements of assessment
  • different types of assessment methods to support your learners
  • how to involve learners in the assessment process
  • how to plan assessments
  • how to make assessment decisions
  • quality assure assessment processes
  • manage information relating to assessment
  • explore the legal and good practice requirements in relation to assessment.

Learners may progress to the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, building a portfolio of evidence for two more units:

  • Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
  • Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding.

The next blended learning cohort starts on 4th April 2025.  However, we do accept delegates throughout the year.
