Safeguarding Statement
We are committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of all stakeholders, including but not limited to, learners, staff and partners. Although we operate remotely, we take safeguarding seriously, particularly in courses that involve lived experience and trauma content. All concerns should be reported to quality@aal-member.co.uk. Please note that courses delivered by AAL members (such as schools or charities) are covered by their own safeguarding policies and designated leads.
Accessibility Statement
We are committed to ensuring that our website, learning materials and other public facing resources, are accessible to everyone. We strive to meet recognised accessibility standards and continuously improve our digital and physical resources to provide an inclusive, user-friendly experience for all.
As an organisation that supports others in developing educational content and services, we lead by example and actively encourage our partners and members to prioritise accessibility in their own materials and practices. We believe that inclusivity is essential for effective learning and community engagement.
If you experience any accessibility barriers when reviewing content produced by AAL or have suggestions on how we can improve, please contact us. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us create better access for everyone.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy
We are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful and equitable environment for all. As an organisation that works closely with individuals who bring lived experience, often shaped by trauma, adversity and marginalisation, we recognise the strength in diversity and the importance of being seen, heard, and valued.
We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion or belief, socioeconomic background or lived experience. Instead, we actively promote inclusive practice in everything we do, from course design and delivery to tutor support and partnership work.
Our commitment goes beyond compliance: it is rooted in the belief that equity and inclusion are fundamental to quality learning and meaningful connection. We continuously review and adapt our practices to ensure everyone can engage with our programmes with dignity, safety, and respect.
Complaints Policy Statement
We aim to continuously maintain high standards in everything we do, from course delivery and learner support to communication and partnership work. While we aim to get things right, we understand there may be times when expectations aren’t fully met. If this happens, we encourage you to get in touch.
We view all feedback, including concerns or complaints, as an opportunity to learn, improve and ensure that our services remain respectful, inclusive and of the highest quality. Any concerns will be treated with sensitivity and responded to promptly and fairly.
To raise a concern or make a complaint, please contact us. We will acknowledge your message and let you know the next steps. A full Complaints Policy is available on request.

Modern Slavery Statement
We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place within our organisation or in the activities of our partners. We take all reasonable steps to prevent exploitation, uphold ethical standards and promote transparency throughout our operations.
Environmental & Sustainability Statement
We believe that sustainability is not just an environmental responsibility, it is a core part of ethical, people-centred leadership. As a micro-organisation and home to The Centre for People, Culture & Wellbeing, we are committed to embedding sustainable thinking into everything we do.
We actively reduce our environmental impact by delivering our programmes remotely, minimising travel and using digital tools and paperless resources wherever possible. This not only reduces our carbon footprint but ensures our approach is accessible, inclusive and mindful of resource use.
More importantly, we aim to lead by example; we encourage our learners, member organisations and delivery partners to adopt environmentally responsible practices in line with their capacity.
We recognise that sustainability is a journey and we are committed to continuous improvement, transparency, and collaboration as we grow.
